Core Facility Prototype Construction

Custom-tailored mechanical equipment, hardware extensions and special gadgets commercially not available are in the focus of CF prototype construction. Based on specifications and technical requirements, computer aided design (CAD) software assists to rapidly design descriptive 3-D views; computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software is used to create computer numerical control (CNC) code capable to run CNC machines (mill, lathe) cutting and shaping metal (aluminium, stainless steel, etc.), plastic or other material. In-house services include:

  • 3D-construction (Creo 5.0)
  • CAM programming (Creo 5.0)
  • Turning
  • Milling
  • Fabrication

Via cooperation with external strategic partners various innovative technologies are available:

  • 3D- printing (metal or plastics)
